The evening session of the first day of the International Al-Noor University Qur’anic Competition commenced in the courtyards of Al-Ameed University. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 23 hosting universities and 53 Iraqi and international universities from various countries around the world, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Lebanese Republic, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Tunisian Republic.
The session included diverse Qur’anic recitations performed by reciters representing the participating universities, held in spiritually uplifting atmospheres that reflected the depth of connection with the Book of Allah, the Almighty, and affirmed the active role of academic institutions in promoting Qur’anic culture and strengthening faith-based values among students.
This evening session came as a continuation of the first day’s activities, which began in the morning with the official opening ceremony. The competition will continue over the course of several days, featuring competitive sessions in memorization and recitation, under the supervision of a specialized judging committee composed of:

Sayyid Hasanein Al-Hilu – Judge of Qur’anic Melody (Maqamat)
